OAuth Issues
GitHub OAuth Issues
Section titled “GitHub OAuth Issues”“GitHub App installation failed”
Section titled ““GitHub App installation failed””Cause: Not an organization owner or repository admin, or the organization requires admin approval for apps.
Solution:
- For personal repos: ensure you’re the repository owner
- For organization repos: ask an organization owner to install the app, or request admin approval
“No repositories found”
Section titled ““No repositories found””Solution:
- In Deployify, go to Repositories → “Reconnect GitHub”
- On GitHub, select “All repositories” (recommended) or specific repos
- Return to Deployify and refresh
“Repository access revoked”
Section titled ““Repository access revoked””Symptoms: The repository may still show as connected in Deployify, but Deploy on Push no longer triggers and repo operations fail. This happens when the GitHub App loses access to the repo (reinstall, repository access narrowed, or repo transferred) while the saved connection record remains.
Solution:
- Check GitHub Settings → Applications → Deployify
- If not listed, reinstall the app
- On GitHub, verify Repository access includes the repository (Installed GitHub Apps → Deployify → Configure)
- Reconnect the repository in Deployify Repositories page and re-save any workflows that use it
